Job Description

Sunfun (China) Limited is a renowned supply chain service provider based in Hong Kong as well as Shenzhen Futian Free Trade Zone.  We are now expanding to provide portfolio management services to fine wine investors in Greater China Region and are looking for a sale person with wine industry experience to take the role of Fine Wine Investment Specialist (Greater China).

The suitable candidate will need to be confident, have an excellent command of the Mandarin language, a strong understanding of the Chinese culture and sales experience to meet the demands of the daily functions.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for business development and account management.
  • Develop and implement e-commerce projects, e.g. online shop.
  • Manage the wine database to ensure it is fully utilized.
  • Identify opportunities and manage high-end private client accounts.
  • Plan and execute sales plans to maximize sales opportunities in the target markets.
  •  Advise clients on the best possible investment strategy based on the most up-to-date market data and analysis available.
  • Develop investment-grade wine selection strategy for clients.
  • Create individual portfolios for each client, structured to match their personal investment objectives, targeting a return in excess of 10% per annum over a recommended term of at least five years.
  • Keep abreast of the essential market information providing details on market trends, specific wines and price-sensitive news and events which may affect values of investments.
  • Review and revise investment strategies on a regular basis as the market develops ensuring that every selected portfolio is working its hardest. 
  • Develop and build strong relationships with prospective clients to achieve sales targets.
  • Hold wine investment seminars to attract prospective investors and strength relationships with the old and new clients.
  • Organize small scale wine events for high net worth clients      .
  • Organize and lead bespoken events like visits to the world’s top wine makers, chateau owners and producers and tastings at extraordinary venues where clients can experience and learn more about fine wine. 
  • Possess a broad knowledge of product categories, along with great salesmanship.
  • Provide product knowledge and consulting duties to clients in a professional manner and be able to answer a wide range of questions relating to the wine industry.


  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Fluent in Mandarin is a must)
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field
  • A WSET Level 2 Award in Wines or above with at least 3 years of experience working in wine related field
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Passionate about wine with significant industry knowledge
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to relay their knowledge of wines and wine production
  • Self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems as they occur
  • In-depth organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with (or ability to learn) point of sale systems and winery software (WineDirect Solutions preferred)
  • This position must work weekends, some holidays and evenings

Be readily available for travels in short notice to Mainland China, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, the United States of America and other regions across Europe
