Head Bartender - PDT (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Responsibilities:

• Report to PDT Manager
• Create beverage and cocktails as per the PDT standards and ensure the drink list is updated and kept in good condition
• Be able to liaise with other departments and teams such as kitchen/pastry when collaborating resources for new drink ideas
• Advise and strengthen the service team in all aspects of beverage service through demonstrations on technique, educational exercises on spirit/product introduction and recipe review, scheduling tastings with suppliers for relevant  products and up selling techniques.
• Communicate and give feedback to team members to promote accountability and encourage internal growth
• Order and monitor the stock of all beverages and spirits, produce/food items pertaining to cocktail recipes, and equipment for the bar by introducing a proper Inventory Management Program
• Control on a daily basis for the proper storage, aging rotation, and temperature of all stocks (wine and spirits, syrups, produce)
• Be able to analyze monthly sales data with Manager to improve menu curation.
• Monitor the general cleanliness of bar, storages & fridges 
• Engage with guests to build community and share the story of PDT
• Record guest preferences and check on guest satisfaction on service, food and beverage quality
• Build relationship with suppliers, key Beverage Industry individuals & groups and related media

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant position
• Experience in a first-class bar operation is preferred
• Extensive wine and spirit knowledge
• Well organized and structured
• Self driven, energetic and a team player
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good relationship and network in the local, regional and global Beverage industry is preferred
• Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Good command in English, knowledge in other languages is an advantage
