Role & Responsibilities
- Perform a combined role of Floor and Sommelier duties to serve our guests recommending food and wine pairings in accordance with the menu.
- Able to serve tables, understanding the food menu and familiar with food notes and sequence of service.
- Overseeing the serving of wine, ensuring right temperature, glassware and storage of bottle.
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained and are correct in the POS system.
- Prepare all drink garnishes keeping the garnish station continuously stocked.
- Supporting maintenance and stock checking of the wine cellar, ordering wine and updating the wine list.
- Report to Head Sommelier
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Sommelier experience with 2 years Floor working experience in fine dining with an aspiration to achieve a head sommelier role. Lesser experience will be considered as Junior Sommelier.
- Proven work experience as a server or wait staff.
- The ability to up sell and offer food and drink suggestions to guests.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Have an interest in wine and beverage with a passion to develop their knowledge further.
- Good command in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
- Holder of WSET level 2 certificate or above.
- Having full shots of Vaccination (3rd Dose)
- Hong Kong resident only.
- Immediate availability is highly preferable.
