Zachys Asia, a major Hong Kong based international fine wine company and the world's leading name in fine wine retail and wine auctions, is actively seeking to add a Wine Specialist to our staff.

Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with our worldwide buyers regarding the collection and delivery of both purchased and consigned property.
  • Assisting with establishing and building wine collector networks throughout Asia.
  • Checking property and working closely with the warehouse to resolve any outstanding issues that may arise with inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Working closely with others to learn and execute all aspects of assessing fine and rare wine.
  • Providing "day of auction" assistance as needed.
  • Providing cellar evaluation, pricing, assessing, cataloging and all other specialist related duties.
  • Wine list reconciliation and data-entry into our internal system for cataloging.
  • Liaise with Hong Kong and New York offices to ensure all catalog deadlines are met.
  • Assist and manage wine tasting and dinner events.
  • Other duties as agreed from time to time.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of relevant wine experience or an interest in the fine wine industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written are essential along with an emphasis on follow-up.
  • Must be detail-oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task while handling high volume at a fast pace.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
  • A high level of computer competence and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Outlook is required; SAP Business One knowledge a plus.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends for projects or auctions when required.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Prior experience working with a multi-cultural office is helpful, but not required.
