Fine Wine Sales Trader (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

We are seeking a Fine Wine Sales Trader to join our rapidly growing company.

What you’ll do:

You will play a critical role in selling our stock of fine wine.  You will work closely with our external partners as well as a wide range of internal stakeholders in operations, engineering, sales, and marketing.

You will be responsible for managing and tracking the sale or liquidation of stock through various outlets such as wine exchanges, and merchant or vendor partners. You will work to develop a robust network of sales outlets for the stock.

  • List stock for sale through various existing wine sales channels 

  • Work to establish a strong network of new sales outlets for stock

  • Sell stock to hit sales targets and quarterly goals 

  • Develop best practices and SOPs for various sales channels and export markets.


What you have: 


  • A proven track record in fine wine trade sales to export markets

  • Strong pre-existing relationships in export markets

  • 3+ years experience in the Wine and Spirits Industry

  • Experience with reselling wine to any of these outlets - auctions, private collectors, merchants, vendors, restaurants, hotels. Ideally bringing already established relationships and networks to this job

  • Carnal knowledge of all of the components of wine evaluation-market pricing, provenance, and storage 

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills necessary for developing trusted relationships at all levels internally and externally

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Ability to work independently to accomplish goals.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

  • Strong wine knowledge with WSET Level 3 Diploma or Advanced certification or CMS

  • Fully licensed to sell wine within the UK to merchants and individuals
