Sommelier – Amber (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Responsibilities

Recommend food and wine pairing according to guests’ preference, tastes and occasions
Serve all wine orders in a professional manner by using proper equipment and strictly follow the hotel’s standards and procedures
Contribute to daily sales revenue by making beverage upselling
Be responsible for general cleanliness and organizing of the wine cellars
Ensure the perfect condition of the glasses washing area
Review and update wine list and make recommendations to management on wine selections
Ensure efficient wine, liquors, spirits and drinks par stock level
Ensure high level of customer satisfaction by being attentive to guests’ needs and response timely throughout the dining experience

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ solid experience in F&B or hotel industry
Experience in fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurants is preferred
Extensive knowledge of different wines and regions
Holder of WSET level 2/CMS Introductory certificate or above
Passionate about delivering exceptional F&B service
Pleasant, presentable, service -oriented, a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
