Responsibilities

  • Creating and updating wine lists
  • Making recommendations on food and wine pairings
  • Provide wine recommendations to guests based on their personal tastes and food choices
  • Ensuring that the wine cellar is fully stocked
  • Negotiating prices with vendors
  • To assit in wine function in the club and wine service in the outlets on a daily basis when required
  • Manage Inventory
  • Work efficient and accurately to maximize sales
  • Operate POS systems
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints
  • Maintain the area clean and tidy

Requirements

  • Retail sales experience in wine is preferred
  • WSET preferred but not a must
  • Wine service experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good numeracy skills to handle POS systems and stock
  • Ability to follow health and safety practices
  • Good spoken English
  • Able to work on weekends and public holidays
  • Polite and friendly manner
  • A high level of personal hygiene and a smart appearance
  • Candidates who possess F&B experience and demonstrate a strong interest in wine may also be considered
