Job Description

Directly report to the General Manager, this Marketing Manager is required to initiate, lead and supervise the whole wine and imported water portfolio of Telford International Co. Ltd as to achieve the region’s short and long-term corporate and profit objectives. 

Work with a team of 7 members,he is responsible for the development of these individuals as well as contributing to the overall development of the marketing team.

Key aspects of the role include developing plans and monitoring brand performance aligned with principal’s global brand strategies and visions as well as the portfolio contributed to the region’s sales performance. 

Working with the Brand Managers and Marketing Executives, he needs to ensure the development of price ladders, new product development opportunities, brand improvement ideas, advertising and promotion and other materials within the guidelines. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and profit objectives of the Wine Division.
  • Researches, analyses, and monitors financialand demographic factors to capitalise on market opportunities and minimise effects of competitive activity.
  • Develops and manages marketing operating budget.
  • Brand marketing and strategy planning including forecast, marketing activity, A&P budget, depletion, shipment and inventory controls
  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  • Evaluates and recommends distribution channel development programs.
  • Serves as liaison between the principals and the sales team on ongoing promotional campaigns.
  • Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials.
  • Develops and recommends product positioning, marketing and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions 


  • University degree or equivalent – major in marketing and business is desirable
  • 5-7 years marketing, sales or operations experience in wine industry or branded premium products
  • Dynamic leadership skills aligning behaviors to values, influencing/facilitating change and developing teams to maximum capabilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues in other functions and cultures.
  • Proven track record in results driven environment
  • Organizationally aligned to vision, strategy and results orientation
  • Excellent creative/conceptual abilities
  • Analytical and logical thinker
  • Able to meet short deadlines in a demanding environment, build and harmonise positive relationship both internal/external with a significant focus on ensuring profit expectations are supported.
  • Commercially sensible with good negotiation skills        
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Strong interest and passion in wine is a must; WSET Level 3 is a plus
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
