Accolade Wines is looking for a Trade Marketing Manager – Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Korea to be part of its team based in Hong Kong. The office based role is full time but does require frequent trade visits and is required to support the account team in customer meetings.

In this role

You will be responsible for developing and implementing trade marketing initiatives for the customers in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Korea in line with strategic objectives and budgets. You will need to be well organised with a great understanding of customer marketing initiatives and be highly effective at managing a wide range of projects at any one time.

Key accountabilities include

  • Develop and implement annual trade marketing plan for Hardys, Grant Burge, Mud House and regionally important key brands across HK, Taiwan, Macau and Korea, inclusive of domestic and travel retail execution.
  • Assist customer teams in presentation to retailers of category reviews and all major new product development and promotional initiatives.
  • Provide Customer teams with Brand related and category related information to support selling initiatives and growing retailer confidence in Accolade Wines.
  • Implements overall point of sale plans, planning and budgeting.
  • Ensures correct point of sale materials are available where relevant and in sufficient quantities to achieve visibility guidelines in all relevant channels.
  • Analyses effectiveness of each trade activity and in a timely manner makes modifications to strategy and / or execution standards if necessary.
  • Ensure trade activities are executed within budget.
  • Audits / visits the trade regularly to check trade compliance within banners and the general trade, and to understand the day to day realities and evolutions of the market.
  • Work with the Sales & Marketing teams in developing the annual business plans. 
  • Align customer and brand teams on briefs for customer marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the location promoter teams and monitor effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the appointed creative agencies on specific marketing projects.
  • Track pricing and distribution levels in market.
  • Lead PR and press events in market.
  • Work with the Asia NPD manager to implement NPD within the North Asia region.
  • Other responsibilities as directed

  • Strong written and presentation communication skills are essential 

Essential qualifications are

  • University degree in business, marketing or related discipline preferred
  • Wine knowledge 
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in liquor ( wine preference ) with at least 2 of these years in trade marketing 
  • Demonstrable experience in operational and creative development of trade campaigns
