We are looking for a Bar Manager based at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong.

Styled on a classic European seafood grill, the restaurant respects tradition with vibrant stained glass and wood tones. Cuisine focuses on the freshest, finest quality lobster, fish and seafood, simply prepared yet perfectly executed.

Live jazz in the evening, accompanied by the bustling award-winning bar create a lively and vibrant atmosphere full of charm and energy.

As a Bar Manager, we rely on you to:

• Receive the guest’s order courteously and efficiently bring his / her order to the table
• Be familiar with the order taking procedures of the Infrasys program
• Have the ability to handle guest feedback
• Monitors and ensures smooth operations
• Ensures that service / items are prepared according to hotel minimum standards and standard procedures
• Checks quality / presentation / temperature of food / beverage / service prior to serving
• Ensures full mise-en-place is prepared prior to start of operations and replenished afterwards
• Checks cleanliness of sections prior to and after service
• Ensures that all materials equipment and machinery are properly used and regularly cleaned in order to prolong usage
• Checks inventory in sections appointed for daily requisition
• Obtain guest feedback during operations to ensure satisfaction

We are looking for someone who:

• Minimum 5 years working experience in similar capacity or with supervisory responsibilities; with formal training in Hospitality Management is an advantage
• Sound understanding of various kind of spirits and wine
• Excellent guest interaction skills
• Guest oriented, good communication and a good team player
