The role requires active development of on-trade customer accounts, fostering long-term relationships to generate immediate and long-term sales. Successful candidates will be required to develop and execute sales and promotional strategies as a team player. There is flexibility within Omtis to also grow and develop off-trade and private client sales. The goal of these activities is to positively contribute to the growth of our customer base and exceed targets in a team environment while demonstrating attributes of honesty, integrity, and due diligence in line with our corporate image.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The applicant shall be responsible for:

  • Handling enquiries, sales follow-up, client account management, preparing proposals/presentations, prospecting for and building a pipeline of new clients. You may also be allocated some existing accounts which suit the profile of the applicant.
  • Speaking engagements at wine dinners.
  • Supporting the procurement team with possible interaction with wineries.
  • Supporting the team head and other team members and liaising with other operational areas of the business (including marketing, logistics, finance, and administration personnel).
  • Any other relevant activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree/Certificate holder in Business, Marketing, or related disciplines
  • A minimum of WSET Level 2 or equivalent wine related qualification.
  • Experience in sales and client management in the wine industry.
  • Good product knowledge with passion for wine.
  • Strong social skills, organization, and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal in English. Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
  • Excellent implementation and account management skills with commercial sense and business acumen to drive sales.
  • Flexible, process oriented, self-motivated, willing to learn, independent while being a strong multifaceted team player.

SALARY AND STAFF BENEFITS

These shall be commensurate to seniority, experience and qualifications.
