JOB OVERVIEW
- Meeting monthly turnover and profit targets
- Meeting interim targets on offers and company initiatives
- Grow the Corney & Barrow brand and knowledge of its exclusive wines
- Work as a team with the back office & support department in the regional office of Hong Kong and the London Head Office.
- Demonstrate well-informed general knowledge of wine industry
- Meeting new business targets and preparing strategies to grow existing client business
- Identify, evaluate and pursue new sales opportunities within the on-trade market by continuously following trends and maintaining a good relationship with clients within the industry
- Use a systematic, well organised approach and be detail orientated
- Manages resources and information in a timely manner
- Prepare and implement plan of weekly sales activity
- Prepare detailed presentations for wine tenders; analysing stock levels, wine requirements and positioning of products
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong aptitude for tele, written & face-to-face sales
- Tenacious and persistent in pursuit of sales, not afraid to try new sales strategies
- Persuasive, influential, well-organised approach
- Demonstrate executive presence to gain gravitas
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, in order to maximize revenue
- Ability to handle objections & turn into a positive result
- Courage and resilient in the face of rejection - continue to work on business development in all areas
- Always demonstrate integrity
- Sound financial acumen & understanding of sales figures in reporting format
- Assume responsibility for sales budgeting, calculating margins, evaluate all expenses against profitability.
- Monitor collections and financial status of customers in order to minimise bad debts

- WSET Advanced Certificate desirable but not essential, however entry level WSET or other wine qualifications would be preferred
- Ability to become a specialist in an area
- Ability to build close organisational relationships
- Participate and contribute in sales team meetings
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Mandarin and Cantonese skills ideal.
- At least 2 years experience in the wine industry, preferably within the HK market - Job titles will be considered between 'Sales Executive' and 'Account Manager' depending on those who have more/less experience
- Experience of ERP systems an advantage - particularly Microsoft Dynamics
- Microsoft Office package skills - strong in Excel
