Elite Concepts is looking for a passionate sommelier to join one of our restaurants in Hong Kong (Ye Shanghai, Nanhai No. 1 & 2, Deng G). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our wine program, creating a diverse and impressive wine list to complement our menu and meet our customers' needs and preferences. He or she must also be responsible for wine cellar management, ensuring the proper storage and maintaining our wine inventory. In addition, the sommelier should be able to perform table service with his or her front line colleagues, conduct regular wine trainings, and will report to both the Wine Director and General Manager.

Responsibilities:

· Manages delegated operational requirements in the most cost-effective, efficient manner, in keeping with set brand values and financial targets
· Responsible for all wine appearance, proper setup and functioning of the restaurant and its related areas
· Do wine training, to ensures that he/she and all staff have a thorough knowledge of all the wine item, specials and promotions offered in the restaurant
· Do all the wine reports, the wine sales record is then sent to the GM/FC, who will compare it to the “Actual Sales” report from the cashiering report
· Whole day duty to up selling the wines to our guests
· Assist customers in selecting wines that complement their meals and preferences
· Manage wine inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing wine stock
· Work with the restaurant management team to develop and execute promotional events and wine dinners
· Be able to perform table service in PDR
· Attend industry events and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments

Requirements:

· WSET Level 3 or Court of Master Sommeliers certification
· 3-5 years’ experience working as a sommelier in a fine-dining Chinese cuisine restaurant
· Excellent knowledge of wine and food pairing
· Fluent in English and Mandarin, basic French (an advantage)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
· Highly organized and detail-oriented
