This role has an integral part to play in executing the Regional Hub strategy through leadership of the team and co-operatively working with regional/markets leaders to ensure achievement of the strategy.

The key purpose of this role is to further grow and develop regional hub to maximise performance potential and ensure a sustainable future. This includes developing and driving regional hub strategic and operational plans to encompass all elements of supply chain, exploiting synergies between regional supply chain and market supply chain and ensuring high performance of regional hub

Key Success Factors include:

  • Providing strategic oversight for all supply chain work throughout the Regional Hub to ensure delivery of performance
  • Planning, execution and delivery of a supply chain strategy, execution plan and goals including existing and new opportunities to complement the overall Regional Hub strategy.
  • Providing functional leadership for Regional Hub, ensuring a clear build, buy and workforce plan to ensure high levels of capability and talent.

This role will be a key member of regional supply chain leadership community with a direct reporting line to the Regional Supply Chain Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Areas of Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for performance of Regional Hub supply chain function, developing end to end supply chain capability in Regional Hub to enable improved customer service, efficient supply planning and world-class logistics activities

Supply Planning

  • Overall responsibility for performance of Regional Hub Supply Planning function, including product portfolio management (NPL & Item master & transfer price), monthly supply planning process leveraging Anaplan DDMRP tool for regional hub as well as targeted markets, PO to delivery (to hub) process and driving transparency and market input into inventory allocation decision by leveraging “Smart” inventory planning tool, to optimise inventory levels at both regional hub and market without compromising customer service levels.

Customer Service

  • Overall responsibility for performance of Regional Hub Customer Service function, including order to delivery process with system/physical operation, customer and pricing process in JDE

Logistics Activities

  • Overall responsibility for performance of Regional Hub Logistics function, including warehousing management, regional Customization operation and complaint handling by leveraging centralised compliant management system (LOOP)

Other Functional Responsibility

  • SC KPI management - responsible for development and maintenance of key performance indicators and reports necessary to demonstrate internal and external performance.
  • Cost management - attainment of all group related financial targets including development, presentation, and adherence to expense and capital budgets.
  • Governance & sustainable management - ensure maintenance of core operating standards in the areas of accuracy, performance, service, and compliance with government regulations.
  • 3PL management - oversee all supply chain related vendor relationships, including selection, fee negotiations, service metrics, and periodic performance reviews.

Leadership

  • Through direct responsibility of Regional Hub supply chain, provide effective leadership in the achievement of world class standards of productivity, quality, safety, cost effectiveness, compliance, service and environmental performance of global/regional operation footprint.
  • Lead, inspire and develop the team and align people initiatives and foster a high performing team environment.
  • Provide positive leadership by role modelling PR values and providing a favourable working environment that aligns, recognises and sustains high performance and attracts and retains talent.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports and the broader team in order to enable, empower and enhance cutting edge performance and development, establishing strong local capability.
  • Support career development, implement action plans, manage talent and plan for succession.
  • Hold team members accountable for actively developing their own teams and engaging in processes that develop future leaders.

Collaboration / Co-operative Spirit

  • Manage relationships with key internal and external parties and key stakeholders in Asia region.
  • Participate as an active member of the regional supply chain community, supporting the achievement of sustainable and profitable performance through working with other functions across PR to identify opportunities to enhance the benefits of a high-performance supply chain
  • Take an active role to review the position of Regional Hub; covering strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and establishing a strategic direction and business plan, incorporating operating policies and performance criteria.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor degree in supply chain, logistics or other related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior role within a multicultural, multinational supply chain environment in large global FMCG organisations
  • Strong supply chain experience, especially on customer fulfilment, logistics operation and supply planning, from project execution to operations,
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others with a strong track record of strategic and development
  • Successful management at a senior level with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively up and down organisations and influence key stakeholders in a cross cultural environment
  • Experience in business change and transformation and highly performance driven
  • Extensive experience at regional organisation
  • Strong problem solver
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills & presentation skills  with the ability to work internally across all teams as well as externally with partners and vendors
  • Fluent in English & Mandarin
  • Willingness to travel about 25-30% of time

Desirable:

  • Post graduate business qualification
  • FMCG experience
