    ROLE SUMMARY

    DRIVE WINE SALES TO PRIVATE CUSTOMERS LOCATED IN HONG KONG AND SOUTH EAST ASIA BASED ON AGREED SALES & GP TARGETS

    SALES MANAGER, HONG KONG

    DEVELOP NEW BUSINESS and  

    MANAGEMENT OF PORTFOLIO OF EXISTING CLIENTS

Competencies and Experience

Sales Ability

  • 2+ Years proven sales experience, preferably in private customer wine sales within Hong Kong market
  • Manages resources and information in a timely manner
  • Prepares and implements plan of weekly sales activity
  • Strong aptitude for tele, written & face-to-face sales
  • Tenacious and persistent in pursuit of sales

Product Knowledge

 

  • Committed to continuous self-learning, tasting and research within wine industry
  • WSET Advanced Certificate desirable
  • Ability to become a specialist in an area

 

Networking

  • Develop personal network of high net worth private customers
  • Persuasive, influential, well-organised approach

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private customers, and maximize revenue from these
  • Ability to handle objections & turn into a positive result

Finance Knowledge

  • Understanding of sales figures while taking responsibility for sales budgeting, calculating margins and evaluating all expenses against profitability.
  • Able to monitor collections and financial status of customers in order to minimise bad debts

 Salary negotiable upon experience
 Quarterly commission scheme
 Annual ‘new business’ commission
 Healthcare (including dental) after 3 months
 30% off wine purchases (subject to prevailing terms)
