In this role

Accolade Wines is looking for a Key Account Manager to be part of its team based in Hong Kong. The office based role is full time however frequent trade visits are required to meet customers and to understand the activity happening at an outlet level.

You will manage the account relationship with AS Watson, Wellcome and other local retailers to maximise our range in store, agree joint promotional plans and regularly track performance with quarterly business reviews and insights. You will also be the account lead for our Hong Kong based on trade distributors and be tasked with looking for new business development opportunities through Travel Retail, ecommerce and local independent stores.

Key accountabilities include

  • Develop and manage key relationships with key retailers and on trade distributors to deliver against joint commitments and drive base and over and above sales results.
  • Agree joined up business plans with retailers and distributors to deliver mutually agreed sales forecasts in line with budget.
  • Manage the annual promotional calendars with retailers ensuring promotional frequency and price.
  • Implement programs with retailers developed from both internal marketing objectives, and in-store needs identified by insights and analysis.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with all customers.
  • Actively generate sales opportunities, and ensure expenses are in line with budgeted requirements.
  • Activate Accolade Wines key brands in Hong Kong market.
  • Maintains business reporting in line with agreed deadlines including: demand planning, marketing spend, shipment forecast, customer depletion data.
  • Manage a team of three merchandisers setting their monthly priorities, field execution and the collation of store data. 
  • Manage instore promotion staff in partnership with the local agency
  • Generate insights from market reports and regularly share updates on brand performance, market share and competitor activity.

  • Required experience is
  • University degree in business, marketing or related discipline preferred but not essential.
  • Wine knowledge & passion.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in liquor (wine preference ) / FMCG with at least 2 of these years in sales or marketing.
  • Demonstrable understanding in operational and creative development of BTL programmes.
  • Previous people management experience.
