Our client is an global retailer with operations in over 40 countries and over 30 years of history. To cope with their rapid business development, they are currently inviting high caliber professionals to join and be a member of their successful team. You will be leading a team of 6 in their merchandising and category management strategies. about the job. • Manage the Wine and Spirits categories and fully responsible for the P&L through the assortment and strategic planning • Ensure the implementation of cross category turnaround plans, monthly/quarterly follow up with countries • Responsible in achieving GP & growth target and sales objectives • Provide analysis of the monthly Open-to-Buy based on planning variances to the financial plans • Work closely with operation team to improve category performance and profitability • Prepare sales reports & category reports for management review • Lead the regional negotiation with suppliers on terms, product costs and promotion offer • Sales & margin daily/weekly/follow up with the team, review and deliver the regional bonus target • Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders • Communicate and monitor sales promotions, product knowledge and special events/store training • Communicate standards of visual presentation skills & experiences required. • Bachelor’s Degree or above in related disciplines • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in merchandising • Wine & liquor experience is a must • Experience in fine wine distribution with a recognized wine importer or retailer • Good network and understanding on both online & offline retailers • Honest, good communication skill and self- motivated • Able to work under pressure and fast-paced environment • Good multi-tasking and problem solving abilities • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and SAP system • Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese • Having WSET or other professional qualification will be a plus • Strong interpersonal skills
