Based in Hong Kong, the VIE Brand Ambassador is responsible for communicating the uniqueness & key benefits of Estates & Wines Brands, in alignment with business development strategy, by educating internal/external customers (MH Regions, Distributors, Trade, Consumers, etc) on the Asian market.

Main missions :

Communication

  • Execute efficient communication actions on the field (distributors, wine shops, trade, etc) to represent E&W products identity to customers, in accordance with E&W guidelines and strategy defined by BDM
  • Ensure that brand information is being properly communicated with each customer interaction (messaging, vocabulary, presentation,...)
  • Identify opportunities within the markets to constantly improve communication techniques
  • Monitor/report to International Director on communications actions & initiatives
  • Represent E&W at generic country tasting events as and when required
  • In all actions undertake the Brand Ambassador must represent E&W in the markets as a professional and committed Partner

Training

  • To prepare and script training material and update with relevant information throughout the year
  • To fully train sales/marketing teams, distributors & customers with regard to Wine in general and Estates & Wines brands in particular
  • To ensure that all sales personnel are fully equipped with relevant and up-to-date material and knowledge
  • To monitor/report to International Director on training actions, initiatives, and best practices within & without the group
  • To identify opportunities within the territory
  • To provide expertise and support to the markets in the implementation of their respective sales and training programs, including training of wines champions and local ambassadors

Sales promotion

  • Execute sales promotions actions in the markets in accordance with pre-defined qualitative & quantitative objectives
  • Conduct events, promotions, special dinners & tastings with the customers & distributors to reinforce the portfolio and introduce new wines & focus on the wine promotion
  • To ensure that distributors and MH companies are fully equipped to sell E&W wines effectively so that all targets are achieved
  • When possible, to recruit and win over wine prescriptors / key opinions leaders and to exploit new distribution channels
  • Provide support for hosting at corporate sales events when necessary
  • To identify opportunities within the territory to constantly improve sales promotion techniques
  • To attract trade & clients to our wineries, in coordination with the Site Event & Wine Communication Managers

Others

  • Professionally manage the preparation of trips by organizing, shipping, and contributing to the materials needed for the various presentations
  • Ensure proper administrative work and dedication in relation to the position: travel budget, expenses, reporting etc.

PROFILE

Education:

  • Sommelerie or Viticulture schools / Business School with a Wine certification 

Languages:

  • Fluent in English & French. A third language is a must have.

Professional experience & know how :

  • 2 years' experience in wine education / hospitality industry positions on high value-added products
  • Public-speaking and facilitation to large groups
  • Strong interest & knowledge of wines & spirits industry (premium drinks industry a plus) 

Technical & management skills:

  • Experience in execution of communication & training actions on the field
  • Excellent presentation skills
