Job Description
Operational (Local)
  • Oversee local bar department in regards to training, fulfillment of responsibilities, motivation and career path
  • Oversee the monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies
  • Liaise with the venue team on daily operations and quality control
  • Foster supplier relationships and manage existing contract agreements.
  • Ensure all events and private bookings are well looked after with highest standard of service
  • Oversee teams as designated by Operations Director; work directly with the venue management to ensure quality and consistency of service.
  • Operations-based in venues
  • Work with teams to set daily goals to achieve monthly sales targets
Operational (International)
  • Liaise with international outlet bar teams on a regular basis to ensure quality and consistency of service.
  • Provide regular and ongoing training to international teams 
  • Initiate and manage timelines for menu development and changes in international locations
  • Research and communicate trends to keep wine and beverage programs innovative and relevant to the local market
Project Management
  • Research local markets to determine wine & beverage trends
  • Lead menu development for new projects
  • Work closely with Project Management Team in Bar Design, OS&E and other relevant tasks, as designated by Operations Director
  • Join taskforce team in local and international openings, conducting bar and overall service trainings
Administration 
  • Ensures all reporting in relation to financials, payroll, staff count are completed to deadline 
  • Ensures venue is fully staffed at all times and if understaffed is responsible for helping to source candidates
  • Oversees interview process and hiring of staff in venue and submitting proper paperwork to HR Department
  • Ensures schedule is created in accordance to business needs as well as employee well being
Management and Staff Development
  • Supervises closely all service employees in the performance of their duties 
  • Appropriately delegates responsibilities to management team, nurturing and developing them whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained
  • Instills and supports the training initiatives and philosophies of the company and works closely with the management teams to develop a team of multi-skilled employees
  • Ensures employees have a complete understanding of rules and regulations and that all of them are complied with 
  • Monitors employee morale and is in charge of bi-annual staff appraisals
Requirements 
  • Expert knowledge in both wine and spirits and at least 8-10 years’ experience in related job
  • WSET Level 4 or relevant qualifications
  • Strong background in numbers and financial reporting
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Detail minded and organized 
  • Creative and open mindset. Passionate and positive attitude towards work
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Team player. Will be expected to work on the floor supporting operation
