As Asia’s No.1 wine critic, James Suckling has opened an exciting new wine restaurant concept in Hong Kong this fall, and is looking for a passionate assistant sommelier to join his dynamic team! The 2,500-square-foot restaurant in Soho, Hong Kong has the most innovative wine program on the island (perhaps Asia) including numerous curated tastings and events, and the largest offering of wines by the glass. The 76-covers also served modern Korean fine food.

Your main responsibilities are:

In your daily role you will work as part of the floor team running the daily service operations and ensure quality standards at all times.

Requirements:

The qualified candidate will bring alon excellent work ethic and passion for wine. You will demonstrate strong guest engagement skills to effectively develop guest rapport. Fluency in English and Cantonese is necessary. The position will be based at James’ flagship restaurant in Hong Kong. Only candidates with the right to work in Hong Kong may apply.
