Summary of Role:

A key leadership position at The Flying Winemaker, which requires the skills of key account sales, marketing, branding and mass public engagements. The role is based in Hong Kong with Greater China being the primary focus of region of the job. The Commercial & Brand Manager must have the initiative and an entrepreneurial mindset to develop new profitable revenue streams, promotions, strategic partnerships, secure sponsorships, and maximize The Flying Winemaker’s brand presence. Team leadership, goal setting and coaching abilities to improve team performance is critical to this role’s success. This role reports directly to a manager nominated by the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:


Brand Management, Corporate Sales and Strategic Partnerships

  • Procure revenue generation opportunities for Eddie McDougall and The Flying Winemaker brand via live events, endorsements and strategic collaborations
  • Event creative development – Wine brand promotions, Themed events and Festivals
  • Business development
  • Execution of strategy and revenue maximisation
  • Customer satisfaction reporting and engagement
  • Sales and promotions of key Flying Winemaker initiatives
  • Procurement of corporate events and sponsorships
  • Presence at reasonable amount of Flying Winemaker activities to ensure faultless execution and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all sponsors and brand partners are satisfied with execution of brand and product placements

 

Branding and Marketing

  • Development and execution of The Flying Winemaker’s branding and direct marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Negotiation of partnership agreements with medium to MNC entities which includes the development of memorandums and proposals
  • Development and management of all public and private events both onsite and offsite
  • Development of media and press relationships with tangible outcomes including sponsorship and press
  • Engagement of digital media strategies and continue to grow community
  • Develop ways to grow existing client base and implement a strategic CRM plan
  • Be China focused and align with the company’s vision to have a greater footprint in the region.

 

Budgeting and P&L Management

  • Present annual budgets and forecast
  • Achieve financial KPIs
  • Obtain no less than 65% profit margin on commercial transactions

 

Team Leadership and Human Resources

  • Leadership of core management team in the fields of e-commerce, media content, branded projects, and sales
  • Coach management team to improve efficiencies, track KPIs and financial goals
  • Provide strategic human resource planning and budgeting for board approval
