Sommelier (Restaurant & Bar in Alexandra House) (R1222-WineS-AMI)

Reporting to the Group Wine Director & Restaurant Director, you will be responsible for educating all F&B service colleagues, sourcing new products and keeping up-to-date with offers as well as the tastes of our guests and their requirements.
You will control and maintain stock levels in the outlet, as well as endeavor to maximize sales, identify opportunities and strive to create a wine culture in the restaurant in order to enhance revenue. You will also be managing the overall restaurant operations and leading the professional service team to provide excellent customer service in Ami.

You will work with our comprehensive supporting teams and structured systems which align with the standard of 5-star hotels.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • To attain this position, you must have at least 2 years’ experience as Sommelier & 4 years' experience at supervisory level in a similar luxury, high-end work environment
  • Solid wine and beverage knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal, people management and problem-solving skills
  • Presentable, independent, customer-oriented, attentive and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). Knowledge of French is a plus
