Due to the growth of the Wine & Whisky Department, Bonhams are looking to recruit an experienced Junior Specialist to work with the Head of Department at our Hong Kong auction room.

The aim of this role is to support the department specialists and Department Director by researching and cataloguing, verifying the provenance and authenticity of whiskies & wines in liaison with external experts and preparing condition reports.
In addition, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, writing catalogue notes; prioritising initial valuation enquiries for the specialists; assisting with the department’s marketing in conjunction with the Advertising Department; organising shipping; organising photography and maintaining the department’s resource library.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the industry and have at least 2 years of experience working with rare and collectable whisky & wine.
Bonhams Whisky & Wine departments operate around the world with Whisky sales taking place in both London, Hong Kong & Edinburgh. A second language would be an advantage and it is essential that the applicant can undertake domestic & international travel.
