OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Establish the luxurious Fine Wine business in Asian market and penetrate the company brand name into the wine collector community by developing business, cataloguing and co-ordinating the sale and property.
Key Responsibilities/Tasks: (Duties include but are not limited to the following)

Proactively develop and expand business opportunities for wine consignments around Asia to meet operational, managerial, and financial objectives

Establish new business contacts while maintaining long-term relationships with clients, dealers, and collectors

Assist and advise on business getting proposals, taking part in client discussions and presentations to win business

Participate in departmental hilling sessions (meetings to determine value, condition and marketability of property) and ensure proper maintenance of wine valuation records
-
Inspect and evaluate wine stocks to ensure the quality and authenticity of the wines in auctions fulfil the standards in Christie’s and the conditions of wines are accurately stated

Manage catalogue production process including cataloguing, photography, essay writing, lotting up and monitor and enforce all relevant deadlines

Actively participate in client dinners, tasting events, touring, and lectures or forums as appropriate

Coordinate with Marketing and PR to prepare interviews, tasting notes and other wine related articles

Provide professional advice to client’s wine-specific enquires

Assist in sale registration, phone bidding, and post-sale enquires

Analyse buyer activities and assist in developing auction and private sales strategies with the Head of Department and the Business Manager

Any other duties the Manager or the company request from time to time
Qualification Requirements:

A recognized university degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in business getting and brand building in wine industry

WSET Level 3 completion is preferred

In-depth knowledge in fine wine business

Articulate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proactive and sales-driven with a strategic mind-set

Independent and able to work with minimal supervision

Customer-oriented and confident in handling prestigious customers in a polite and professional manner

Strong organizational skills

Proficient in MS Office
-
Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
