Job Description:

Scope of Position:

  • Achievement of Brown-Forman sales targets, brand equity and profitability through the effective implementation of strategic sales plans and the partnership of valued distributor organizations.

  • Implementation of a brand building culture across geographies/ sales territories

  • Driving the corporate B-F vision and values with key stakeholders in and outside of Brown-Forman

  • Lead trade partners to ensure that all in-market standards are achieved and maintained.

  • Cultivate and lead a best in class distributor network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strategic initiatives that deliver the required revenue and profit results

  • Develop and implement price and channel strategies for all brands consistent with overall brand and business plans and objectives

  • Drive the implementation and delivery of sales and activation plans through effective goal setting and leadership of distribution partner/s

  • Establish execution, management and marketing standards with distributor partner/s, and coach/develop its team members to ensure these standards are met

  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with key customers and wholesalers, ensuring that B-F is recognized as the industry expert and preferred partner

  • Manage trade terms and investments including discounts, allowance, rebates and incentives consistent with the overall business and brand strategy

  • Set strategies and guidelines for the annual key customer and account negotiations

  • Demonstrate a high degree of business acumen and ethics, and ensure standards are upheld in all aspects of the business

  • Develop and implement distributor management and performance processes to enhance in market coverage and execution.

  • Drive a culture of fact-based decision making supported by analytics to ensure evaluation of all national, regional and tactical consumer promotional programs to assess performance vs. plans and objectives.

  • Monitor and assess competitive activity and ensure that B-F has strategies in place to improve its competitive position in the market place

  • Lead brand marketing to ensure a seamless approach to sales execution and brand activation

  • Keep up to date with industry and market trends via contact with the trade, publications, etc

  • Effectively and efficiently manage any business expenses incurred in line with company guidelines

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven P&L management ability

  • Experience in managing and partnering with distributors

  • Demonstrated leadership and achievement of results

  • Able to work effectively in matrix organization

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field plus

  • 10 years of progressive Sales/Marketing experience.

  • Experience in alcohol industry will be a must

  • Fluency in English

  • Excellent teambuilding skills
