Aim of the job:  

Part of a newly developed Pernod Ricard Group central travel management team with the main ambition to leverage the resources of the group to optimise travel processes, costs and improve the traveller experience for all members of Pernod Ricard.
The Regional Travel Manager will have responsibility for the Asia Pacific region ensuring the development and deployment of key strategies in line with the overall global objectives taking in to consideration the local and cultural environment in the region being served
They may also serve as the travel category owner for the local entity in which they are based for a portion of their role (20%) and may have a dotted line in to this entity.
Potentially, they will be also a relay for the Paris HQ within the region about other procurement topics such as General Expenses (Facility management, Parcel delivery, Stationary, Car fleet, etc.) which are currently part of our Global Indirect Procurement optimization program.
 
Roles and responsibilities: 
 
Identify and monitor regional demand 
  • Liaise with local travel managers / focal points to define demand 
  • Build market intelligence and perform market analysis at region level 
  • Adopt strategy at regional and local level in line with global strategy/policy guidelines 
Travel Policy 
  • Maintain regional travel policy guidelines 
  • Liaise with HR departments at entity level to optimize policy 
  • Monitor and report on policy compliance regionally and locally 
  • Relationship Management 
  • Manage internal stakeholders e.g. Local Travel Managers, HR, Finance etc. 
  • Manage relationship with key regional suppliers e.g. Travel Management Companies (TMCs), key airlines ... 
Procurement 
  • Coordinate and supports local entities for Air and Hotel RFPs 
  • Lead negotiations with key regional service providers e.g. Hotels, Airlines, TMCs etc. (supported by Local Travel Managers where appropriate)
Communication / Information Management  
  • Manage dashboard of regional travel indicators and determines corrective measures 
  • Communicate effectively both domestically and internationally to ensure effective reporting to Global Travel Management Team

  • Main external contacts: Local Travel Managers operating in the Asia Pacific region, Suppliers including Travel Management Companies, hotel groups, airlines 
  • Job perimeter: 
Local (proportion in %: 30%) 
International (proportion in %: 70%)  
  • Business trips (in working time: Up to 25%): Expected and required between host entity office location and otherPernod Ricard offices in the Asia Pacific Region and occasionally to PR HQ (Paris)  
Performance criteria: 
  • Criterion 1: Travel management experience within the Asia Pacific 
  • Criterion 2: Strong negotiation and contracting skills with a proven record of measurable achievements 
  • Criterion 3: Ensure the category governance across key buyers and key business stakeholders 
  • Criterion 4: Cross functional & cultural collaboration skills and proven ability to influence at all levels 
  • Criterion 5: An innovative mindset with change management experience, Influential behaviour within internal & external network 
Required skills
  • Languages: English (fluent), a second language is desirable but not essential
